Restriction of Lead and Other Toxic Substances in the US and Canada
Lead is a poisonous metal that can damage nervous connections (especially in young children) and cause blood and brain disorders. The concern about lead poisoning has brought about widespread reduction in its use. Many states in the US, including Canada and other countries have banned the use of lead.
Are you worried about lead in your jewelry products? or how can you be sure that your products comply with the latest safety goverment standards? Well, our products get often sent to numerous different labs for lead content test requested by our big corporation clients. Of course, these labs are universally certified and they are Intertek, Bureau Veritas and Mutual Cornell Environmental. So far all of our products have passed their intensive lead content test. Our products meet and complied with most current US Lead Standards. Moreover we are way under the limit that are set by each states in U.S. and Canada.

Care for our environment
It is not easy being eco friendly in jewelry manufacturing industry especially in oversea. However we strongly believe that small steps can save the planet and this is one of NAG International's mission. Not only to produce greener jewelry for minimal environmental impact, but also taking the responsibility to also do our part in creating a greener and safer world. We believe that being green is about making better choices so that we aren’t contributing to the ongoing problems. Here is just few ways of how NAG International is being part of the Eco-Movement
Recycle: Many of our sources come from renewable energy. Most of our metals come from recycled jewelry metals. We melt down from the jewelry pieces that are found to have defects during the production or take retired jewelry to reuse them to make brand new jewelry. All of our own cards for packaging are 100% post consumer recycled paper. Our company purchases office paper with recycled paper content for printing. For printers, we try to use as much recycled and refilled cartridges as possible as well as recycle our used ones. Eco friendly metal: We use lead and nickel free metal for minimum environmental impact.
Save and conserve energy: Less car means less pollution. We encourage our staff to carpool and use public transportation to save energy and to use bicycle in the city. Also helping to reduce the effect on our forests, recycled printed-paper used in our office is printed on both sides. Paper that we have used and no longer have a use for is then shredded.
